How to edit out faces in face recognition on Iphoto

I accidentally selected a few of the wrong pictures from photos in the face recognition and need to delete them because now it crosses over between the two. How can I edit the content in a person facial catalog?

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), iOS 8.3

What do you mean by "wrong pictures from photos"? Are you using Photos for Mac or iPhoto?

If you labelled photos incorrectly, change the name in the faces album.

  • In iPhoto: To change the name for all photos, type a new name into the name field of the faces album in Faces view. Or select a single photo in the album and delete the name in the Info panel for the photo.
  • In Photos: Type a different name into the name field of the Faces tile, or click the Faces album for the incorrectly named person, enable "Show Faces Names" in the View menu, and change the names below the faces circles or remove the faces circles.
